Registration Open For Chicago Marathon

The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon, which will go off on October 22 this year—about two weeks later than normal—is open for registration. Seems odd that running a 3:55:59 marathon in the past year is fast enough to qualify for a "Preferred Start." I blame The Penguin for the Great Marathon Slowdown. For me, running Chicago more times than I can remember has been enough of a great thing. Time to find a new fall marathon. New York?
